Hi, I’m Janeta Campbell, a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Registered Tax Agent, Business Sustainability Strategist, Xero Certified Advisor, Quick Books Online and MYOB Certified Partner. I specialise in sorting people’s books out and getting them back on track in a way that suits their lifestyle.

WHO IS JANETA CAMPBELL?

With over 20 years of experience in accounting across all industries, I established Janeta Campbell Business Advisory in 2019 after seeing a gap in the market to provide exceptional care and tailored solutions that go beyond typical accounting.

I create tailored, successful business strategies and structures, promoting money management, financial wellbeing and personal wellbeing for small businesses. I am known in my industry for achieving exceptional results that go beyond accounting norms through my Know, Learn and Grow framework.

With a particular interest in trade and micro businesses, I take a holistic approach to business management. I am passionate about assisting my clients with cashflow budgeting, setting goals, getting clarity around what is manageable, work/life balance, loan management, monthly tracking and accountability and confidence around numbers to follow a plan to feel in control and achieve their professional and personal goals.

This is why I am not your average accountant! Taking time to chat, build rapport and create a safe space is important to me. It allows clients to open up and share things they usually wouldn’t, and I can create a unique approach that goes way beyond numbers. Bringing things back to real terms in a way that is easy to understand is appreciated by many businesses and I give tricks and tips on how to make life easier. I can quickly identify if someone is overwhelmed and burned out, which is why I’ve become an accredited mental health first aider to provide personal support and development if required.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, ensuring that every client has a tailored strategy to meet their needs. Getting to know my clients on all levels from their families, goals and retirement plans allows me to set them up for success to achieve their dreams in life, in a way that suits them.

Alleviating my clients’ stress and seeing them leave our meetings with a weight lifted off their shoulders gives me joy. It lights me up to assist people with their reports that are meaningful, clear and tidy, that are reconciled and meet due dates with money in their bank account. I am invested in their personal and professional success.  What I do find is that they may not initially ask many questions at the beginning of our work together, however over time, clients become more in control of their finances and start to reach out and ask questions feeling comfortable doing so. These conversations solidify my framework’s three pillars: Knowing, Learning and Growing your business.

  • Knowing – business fundamentals and feeling in control of when BAS and super need to be done and paid.
  • Learning – when I see my clients really becoming genuinely interested in and confident in their numbers.
  • Growing – where we dive deep into improving, managing, and elevating the business to achieve personal and professional success.

I am proud to be known as the Navigator of Accounting. Clients say they feel like they are in a vehicle they are losing control over. I’m like your rally driver who has a map that knows where we will Know, Learn, and Grow. I work out the coordinates that we need to punch into the GPS to discover where you want to go, the milestones along the way and what destinations you want to reach. We check in on your fuel tank, ensuring that your bank account and personal well-being are kept full as a business owner. With a map to follow and an expected arrival time to reach your success, I will keep you on track and together we will find the easiest road to get you there.

I will assist you in reducing your stress about money and feel more in control of your business. My clients are happier knowing they have money in their account, no nasty surprises and no longer avoid talking to an accountant! I help give them a better and brighter future by gaining clarity on their road ahead. It’s time to escape the hamster wheel and enjoy your business and life. With the pressure removed, you will find more joy in the every day that you deserve.

Over the past two decades, I’ve discovered that a lot of small business owners:

  • Feel overwhelmed and embarrassed that they don’t understand tax. It feels like a different language, and everyone else understands it except for them.
  • Fear paying tax and need guidance in understanding that tax is good because it means you’re making money!
  • Feel like they are working as hard as their mates and try to “keep up with the Joneses.” Comparison can be an issue because they pressure themselves to appear successful in their business, even if times are tough.
  • Many need more communication about finances with their partner, and the lack of transparency can lead to some relationship stress due to not knowing the financial situation.
  • They are kept awake at night wondering how they will pay for bills, how much money is owed, and when customers will pay. They always seem to need more buffer to account for the peaks and troughs in their business.

I enjoy alleviating the above concerns and challenges through my Business Bootcamp Program and personalised advisory sessions to:

  • Work smarter, not harder.
  • Keep the tax man off your back.
  • Know exactly what your business compliance obligations are.
  • Know your business numbers and feel confident to speak up in business conversations.
  • Read reports and analyse your business to make informed and timely decisions.
  • Feel supported, in control and confident – all while having fun learning your numbers. (Yes, it is possible to have fun while number crunching!!)
  • Have a trusted professional advisor in your corner cheering you on in your business journey.
